• Overview:
    The objective of Pre-Incubation Program of incubation at KCIIL is to get the start-up to achieve ‘Idea validation and market viability for a product or service’.
  • Objective:
    • To handhold start-up at the initial stage and enable support for testing and validating business idea for market potential.
    • To help start-ups get into the second phase of incubation program i.e., the commercialization stage and raise seed funding or investment for developing/refining the prototype, pilot testing and scaling up.
  • Duration:
    3-6 Months [with some flexibility to extension based on nature of product/service]
  • Financial Support:
    • Upto INR 1 Lakh Grant will be available for early stage startups depending upon the requirement [to be decided based on Goal Fund Sheet]. To be utilized as per guidelines of usage of these funds.
    • Financial support against equity/debt/convertible debentures will also be available on case-to-case basis to the start-ups which are in the commercialization stage
  • Non-Financial Support:
    Apart from monetary support teams will get Mentoring, training, advisory and infrastructure support.
  • Mentor/Training Sessions:
    It is mandatory for all co-founders to attend all the workshops for entire duration of pre-Incubation program.
    • Provide in-person/online training to start-ups on varied topics of relevance from time to time. Start-ups will also get dedicated time with these mentors on need basis.
    • Incubation Centre will help in providing access to Faculty/Research Associates/Scholars/students of KBCNMU from time to time.
    • Incubation Centre will also help in providing access to technical and business support from outside relevant Institutions and connect startups with relevant stakeholders.
  • Usage of facilities:
    • Accessing Lab facilities of KBCNMU
      • University Labs may be made available to startup teams subject to permissions from respective in-charges.
      • The usage of facilities may be chargeable as per rules of university/lab.
      • Connecting start-ups with nearby Fablab for developing prototype and testing.
